Chica Vas is a Brooklyn-based all female drum band. With anywhere from five to twenty-five musicians onstage, Chica Vas can feel like a dance party, a social group, or a tribal initiation, depending on the day; this is the kind of band that turns the audience into an instant party. Pink Stallone experienced this for themselves at the infamous Williamsburg Fashion Weekend, immediately initiating their own live recordings of Chica Vas at Public Assembly. These recording sessions have recently become a recent 7′’ on Pink Stallone’s Generatto self-release label, and now a special series of remixes from Under The Shade, all of "Te Quiero".

First up, Eddie Mars adds a driving, sleazy electroid disco-not-disco vibe that captures the band's live energy perfectly. Pink Stallone get two reworks (vocal and dub), slowing the vibe right down, while speeding the Chica Vas vocals up. Chugging electro-dub-disco drug-fuelled antics. Sometime Gomma outfit Drrtyhaze gets on an electro-disco-not-disco vibe (do you sense a theme here), while Phoreskigoes off at a tangent, chugging off into the cosmic disco sunset.
