The Berlin institution that is Workshop returns with their 14th release by one Marvin Dash. Mr Dash is quite the veteran of the German scene with releases going all the way back to 1998 and on labels like Force Inc, Morris Audio and Out To Lunch. For "Workshop 14" he delivers three cuts of deep grooves - the main cut on the a-side is the perfect warm-up track, mid-paced with crisp percussion, melodic keyes and a pulse-like kick-drum. On the flip, B1 (which apparently was out on Out To Lunch back in 2005) sounds like a lost Wolfgang Voigt record - lots of looped strings, deep atmospherics and a groove that pulls you inwards. The EP rounds of with a downbeat kinda vibe, B2 being an almost hip hop paced chugger. Limited stamped copies.
