During the last couple of years Italy has become an epicentre for some of the deepest, most hypnotic techno around. Operating somewhat under the radar in comparison to some of his countrymen; Nuel has been successfully running the Aquaplano label, with his regular production partner Donato Dozzy, while building his own studio in a small town near Rimini on the Meditteranean coast. This album is a departure from the techno that he has become known for - it being both more individual and experimental, yet also more accessible and honest. Its organic sound created by continually overdubbing his own solo performances across a range of acoustic and electric pianos, drums, and guitars using one mic, one mixer channel and an abundance of live FX. Recorded in a single week with one day devoted to each track the album has a building introspective intensity as the mental attrition of sleep deprivation cleanses the mind to reveal only more confusion.
