A solid, handy 3 tracker here of chunky, party edits that should easily find a space in your bag.. Disco & Boogie are the order of the day here, reworked & reconfigured into some heavy slabs of dancefloor explosives. D-Trains "Trying To Get Over" is the first cut on the EP to go under the blade, a lesser known cut of his on NYC's legendary Prelude label the Cuttlefish & Asparagus crew strip the track right back to it's funky basics utilising the heavy drums & Bass with the chorus flowing in & out periodically, it's dope! Flip it over & we get an edit of Connie Case's electronic Disco classic "Get On Down" which gets the stripped back treatment also, with added vocals urging us all to "Dance!" The final track eases the tempo somewhat & takes us in a more downtempo, funky direction with it's looped up keys, strings & guitar break finishing things off nicely. A good release to have in the bag! Check it...
