Vitalik Recordings launch their Gold Series offshoot. Limited edition vinyl runs have become standard with independent labels these days, however Vitalik Recordings have set about making their Gold Series vinyls genuine collectors items by enhancing key elements of design and production. The artwork has been commissioned from Italian Illustrator Flavio Carbonaro and the overall concept and design is a collaboration between Flavio and designer / photographer Henry Rumour and William Worrell. The records will be pressed on heavy vinyl, printed in gold and sleeved in recycled black manilla.

Kicking off the series is Jimmy Edgar's electrifying mix of The Mole "Even Now Just Us". Edgar's remix contrasts wildly to the Mole's original emotive groover, Edgar's take is a visceral, gutsy listening experiences. Suspense is elevated throughout the length of the track by an endless series of start/stop rhythms and tiny crescendos which build at almost random intervals, this gives the track a feeling of unpredictability and tense energy. It's a peak time music at its best, difficult to categorize but electro with hyper active attention deficit disorder comes somewhere near the mark.

Edgar's remix will only be available on vinyl, the B-Side features The Mole's original mix, a baroque but understated timeless piece of house music, these two cuts contribute to make this a highly desirable piece of wax.
