On the A side you’ll find the 7.30 minute promo-only disco version of Cosmic groover ‘Galaxy’, a wonderful technicolour star-spangled space-hop of smooth horns and hooks, blasted into the outer-funkosphere by a deeply delicious phat bassline, devastatingly groovy piano riffs and great dubbed-out vocals. On the flip, we have the mighty 13-minute Loft classic ‘City Country City’, a subtle blues-influenced obscurity taken from 1972 album ‘The World Is A Ghetto’. Riding high on a blissful sax solo and laced with hauntingly mellow strains of a harmonica, this epic tune takes you on a soulful smoky journey through a dreamy land of slo-mo jazz and disco.
