On "Work That Shit Party," a Fingers Inc. style rhythm buttresses a two-note riff, a crackling male voice filtering in from the ether.A pinging keyboard zips around before that two-note flicker expands and contracts, warps and wheedles. But around halfway in, a female vocal refrain of "Gonna work it out" breaks fat lacerations into pinholes, blaring keyboards seeping in through the gaps and crevices. Then, as with "D117," it's the congealing of all these disparate elements: A "work it out" from Fischerspooner's Lizzy Yoder sashaying with the two-note riff, the keyboards bouncing off the ceiling, and flaring hi-hats fraying the surface played by Pat Mahoney (LCD Soundsystem). Each portion is given its due, only to make the ensuing combination that much more enthralling.
