The title track is the first thing listeners will hear of Seven's debut LP 'Evolution', and it is the perfect introduction to the 70 minutes of music which follow. An accomplished mix of swirling synth work, crisp drums and clean, deep bass is brought together with a supremely deft touch – a masterful control over sound which pervades the entire album. As the listener continues through the record, they are treated to the wide spectrum of Seven's influences: from ethnotribalist touches in 'Breathe' and 'Twilight Horizons' or the horror-core paranoia of 'Demons', to the rolling hardcore-inflected 'Feel It' and B-boy tech of 'Wait VIP'. Seven's skill as a DJ informs the dynamics of his album, taking in highs & lows, balancing straight-up bangers with more considered moments, contrasting mid-range energy with low-end movement. Renowned vocalist Alys Be makes two appearances on the LP, adding feminine pressure and a touch of class to 'Morning Light' and 'Came To Play' - tempering the ravier mood of 'Grey Matter', 'Picture This' or 'Invasion'.
