Touted by many as this years equivalent of Gil Scott-heron & Jamie XX, Bobby Womack's furst album since 1994 is a co-production with Damon Albarn and XL’s Richard Russell, recorded at Albarn’s Studio 13 in West London and New York’s Manhattan Center between October and December 2011. The album features contributions from Gil Scott-Heron, Fatoumata Diawara and Lana Del Rey and according to 68 yr old Womack , its the "best thing I've ever done"! It sets Womack's soulful and characterful husky voice against 2012 production that, whilst not quite as cutting-edge as Jamie XX, provides a great contrast to the classic 60s soul vocal. Sure to feature in many end of year charts! Limited edition gatefold LP.
