Mandog is Keiichi Miyashita's project. He basically started his career as a guitarist, but has been using the name 'Mandog' since 2000 when doing psychedelic sounds. Damo Suzuki, the world-famous legendary singer for the German progressive band “Can” was so into his guitar that he invited him to play along with his band for a tour in the US. He has also had experience playing with Mani Neuemeier (Guru Guru) during that artist’s Japan tour. The song “Guitar Pop” is impressively trippy, with over 12 minutes of overdubbed psychedelic guitar. The song's first half is pretty quiet, and it then smoothly builds up into something with a really driving and progressive style; this gives the listener a feeling similar to music by Manuel Gottsching or Klaus Schulze, or other shoegazer sounds. The remix version has been done by Gonno, who released a worldwide smash hit “acdise#2” from noted underground label <International Feel> last year. That song was played by Francois K, Laurent Garnier any other big name DJs. For his remix, Gonno has kept the original guitar phrase but decided to change the beat to be much more dance floor-friendly. Already getting early support from the likes of Laurent Garnier and Tim Sweeny...
