Essáy’s debut release, Morning Mountain, released in January this year, was a beautiful collaboration with the ambient composer Rhian Sheehan. It became the top selling track on WhatPeoplePlay.com, was recommended by Bleep.com, remained in the Beatport Electronica Chart Top 10 for over 3 months and was supported by DJs a far afield as Ripperton, Agoria, Mighty Mouse and Dominik Eulberg. His 2nd release on Glyph, is another beautifully textured, melodic composition, blending the boundaries between ambient and house.
The lead track Crying at Day may sound sad, but it’s a warm up tempo track perfect for the summer sun sets and sunrises. Crying at Night is a more thoughtful, considered jam, with a reflective piano line that echoes late nights and early mornings as the lights twinkle and fade. Essáy is Simon Schilling, a 21 year old resident of Heidelberg, Germany. Building a strong fan base on Soundcloud and a strong reputation for his own brand of what he calls ‘emotional electronica’. This is music that stirs the heart and soul, conjuring up forgotten memories and dreams.
