Little Boots aka Victoria Hesketh aka winner of BBC's Sound of 2009 award. She has almost an inverted buzz about her. There was that flurry of excitment that award wins and amazing youtube only cover versions create. Then there was that low bit. The point where 'on it' are losing hope of the album and need a limited one sided 7" to quench on, but alas not much. But there didn't need to be this is worth the wait and it is more juicy because of 'that low bit'. A heady mix of Disco fuelled Electro Pop. Compared with other artists from the day she opened her mouth and described as 'the new Kylie' but Little Boots is new a great look, sound and mind set. This girl has been surronded by top artists who aren't just huge writters and I think it was her doing- Heartbreak aren't an obvious choice to sing with but this girl is self afirming and self assured in her sound and output. But will she live up to the hype? Will she, as she puts it 'sink into oblivion. I've got no fucking idea and I'm shit scared.' NO! This is solid music with super lush production but with balls too.
