Channel 83 is the new label and production project from Ben Rymer (Gucci Soundsystem) and Damon Martin (Disco Bloodbath). Releasing both edits and original material, the label will focus on a broad range of styles, reflecting the diverse and eclectic tastes of the labels founders. This commitment to diversity is demonstrated on Channel 83's first release, "Tonite" & "Acid Crunch". The A-side is a slice of euphoric NYC vocal disco that wouldn't have sounded out of place being played at The Saint in 1980. Originally coming in at under 4 minutes the track has been given a longer more dance floor friendly mix. This track is already gaining attention following its inclusion on Disco Bloodbath's Resident Advisor pod cast and is proving popular with the likes of Pat Mahoney (LCD Soundsystem) and Mark E. On the flip, Acid Crunch is a classic late 80’s Chicago House tune given a modern reboot by the duo.
