Well now, maybe something for everyone here on the 2nd remix 12" from The Detachments. Following Weatherall's excellent remix of 'Circles' we now have Martyn continuing his phase of indie-dubstep remixes (Fever Ray, Maximo Park) Here he applies some slightly more 4x4 beats than he usually does and some much needed subby bottom-end, while leaving lots of vocal in. the Mighty Mouse remix is an extremly commercial sounding hands in the air affair, bizarrely combining the disparate worlds of trance, disco and electro house. Somehow it works but only on the dancefloor. Lastly King Of Town follow a much ploughed route mining early 80's synth basslines to almost turn the band into Visage!
