Great start to the year from the Untracked camp - they've employed the production skills of Red Rack'em for what is personally my favourite release on the label. Deeper than deep, "All I Ever Wanted" kicks off in true style with the ghost of Theo Parrish lingering in the air. Deep chord stabs, dubbed out drum-rolls, disembodied vocal samples and a beat that chuggs along like a hobo from the streets of Detroit. Flip over for "In Love Again" an oceanic slice of house with ambient synths taking centre stage. The EP rounds off with "Beginning End" which brings all the elements of the other two tracks into one pot and makes a heart-warming stew out of them. Heavyweight pressing, limited to 300. |
