Local Action’s biggest track to date (US iTunes’ #3 dance track of 2010) gets the remix treatment courtesy of none other than Paul Woolford. Simple story behind this single: we woke up one morning to an email from Woolford, one of the most celebrated house producers of the last decade for his work on labels like Cocoon, 20:20 and his own Intimacy imprint, saying he loved ‘Heartbeat’ and wanted to remix it. We sent him the stems, and he sent us this straight back – an impeccably produced overhaul of the original that starts with subtle, skippy additions before flipping full-force into a bottom-heavy synth jam, completely bringing out the original’s dark underbelly. We’re really excited to be releasing it. The original vinyl release of ‘Heartbeat’ didn’t feature the instrumental, so after four months of people asking us where to get it, we thought we’d tuck it on the B-side of this release. “WICKED!!!
