"21th Century-Electronic-Krautrock" is perhaps the best description for the album "in g", in which Borngräber & Strüver skilfully recombine the influences of motoric-Krauts as "neu" and the achievements of Minimal-Techno to their own musical statements. There is no trance bliss or party sound, only condensed musical statements. "in g" is a great contribution to the history of motoric-Krautrock. It was 1999 when Borngräber & Strüver met at "Ninetynine Records" in Berlin. Since then they work together on musical projects. Their first release "EP" on the UK label Blue Juice polarized and was soon followed by remixes for artists like "A Guy Called Gerald" and "Beth Hirsch". Quite peculiar is their debut album "transcontinental". Dark bladerunner inspired atmos and fine electro beats meet dub effects and surprising breaks. Borngräber & Strüver blend guitars, vocals and horns in a particular way. The album sounds like the soundtrack for "mental cinema". The sequel album "Berlin", is planned for 2011. They recorded it together with guests like Tikiman. Also included are remixes by Smith & Mighty.
