Back once again, Tigersushi present a brand new artist to their versatile and genre bending label in the form of crackboy and the single 'Vivid Incident'. Like his predecessor yes wizard little is known about crackboy other then his own ambiguous references to music making with guitars as drums, influential doses of poppas from his piers and botox sessions as firm plans for 2011. like the psychedelic artists of the 70's it is clear that crackboy has either dishevelled his mind from too many introspective spiritual journeys, or he is simply sheltering from the ludicrous demands of the real world by letting the music speak more sense then himself. with this in mind tigersushi present a 2 track 12" consisting of a-side house of ill fame and b-side 'speakwrite'. both tracks sounding very balearic with firm a nod to the real house and techno sound of early 90's. crackboy reaches for the higher echelons of the music production history books by citing lee perry, martin hannett, prince and all the radiophonic works... as his teachers. however, half way through both tracks you would be hard pushed not to recall early works from carl craig land cruising in house of ill fame or derrick may and graham massey's during 'Speakwrite'. both moments greet us with lush, psychedelic moments that can only come from a twisted mind with a real affection for bringing us all back to the future. well the beginning for crackboy is here, in this ep, but the future will see more release and a live shows. but before we get there, lets relish the moment.
