Introducing Delusions Of Grandeur, a new label releasing vinyl and digital singles for discerning DJ’s and music lovers throughout the world. The enclave of both established artists and fresh undiscovered talent whose shared passion of deep underground Detroit influenced house and disco are reflected in the quality output you will come to expect from the label. Franc Spangler, The Revenge, Zepp001, John Daly, Alpha Child, 6th Borough Project, Tuccifunk and Pezzner are just some of the producers creating their work with tender loving care for Delusions. DOG01 will be setting the standard with The Soul Part II from Craig Smith & The Revenge. These boys are currently riding a wave of successful releases, mainly in the form of their disco and boogie edits under their 6th Borough Project guise on Instruments Of Rapture. Here we see them move into original production territory with a bass heavy slice of brooding and grooving floor friendly house but with their own unique twist. Tempos are kept low, drums are kept live sounding and the subtle italo synth lines all ensure this track keeps true to their roots in disco. For their 6th Borough Project Dub they dive head first into a slowly building, drum and percussion heavy workout which has a beautiful tension to it. This is music for small basements with big sound systems. Finally we have John Daly’s beautiful interpretation where he opts for a blissed out, understated and hypnotic sound that wraps you up in layers of warm, echoing synths whilst the groove chugs along masterfully. A true mood setter or afterhours classic.
