Experienced and eclectic DJ, endowed with a subtle and efficient technique, Fred Berthet creates sets combining brilliantly electro, house, techno, but also down tempo or winks at his seventies and eighties roots. Fred Berthet has been mixing since the early 90's, and finally Marseille where he settled since 1997. During this period, he worked with Biomix (organizer of Territoires Electroniques Festival, later known as Seconde Nature) After composing singles under the pseudonyms Pelican (Omnisonus rec) and Venus Attack Project with Antoine Boullon the label US Guidance), he created the band known as the Troublemakers. After an over-welcomed first LP (" Doubts & Convictions " on Guidance rec), and a second one on Blue Note (Express Way), Fred focused his attention on Copyshop a more electro project, influenced by the 80s, and a prolific artistic collaboration giving birth to a LP (" Reproduction lp " in 2004) and singles on the label Blackjack and Bearfunk. Leading many projects at the same time, he signs edits of vintage songs under the name Dj Steef (Magic Wand, Superbreak, Editorial). He teams up with Munk of the label Gomma. This is the perfect occasion for Fred to synthesize his musical roots such as 80s electro pop, poisonous disco, classy french influences, insistent downtempo and up warding house...
