New kid on the block Jacob Korn drops his debut on Running Back, though apparently it took only 2 and a half years from sealing the deal till the test press arrived. Still, it was worth the wait as "I Like The Sun" is some epic heavy Disco of the highest order, percussive, grinding and all spiralling out of control, Running Back have certainly stuck gold with this one. On the flip the slow burning “Selene” is named for the Goddess of the Moon and is the ideal counterfoil to "I Like The Sun"'s bubbling insanity, smooth and calm this will take you all the way to the end and then be all like "more please" when the grooves finally run out. Though it's unlikely you'll need more of the Prins Thomas 'Diskomiks' as it piles up 13 minutes into it's 3 parts, ever the master Prins piles up the Kosmiche drums and swirling synths into a full on overload of orgiastic proportions, before dropping down into just the drums at the end and bestoying on us possibly the finest set of bonus beats ever. Gobsmackingly good stuff.
