FAQ's
Where are my records?
We aim to dispatch the same day if orders are placed before 1pm Monday to Friday so anytime after this we can usually say that they are “on their way”. Depending on which delivery service you choose we may be able to track your records, please see shipping methods below.
Do you have a particular record in stock?
If you are able to add a record to your basket on the website then it is almost definitely in stock. Our website stock is shared with our physical shop and is updated constantly. However, sometimes things go missing or are sold in the shop at the same time as on our website. If we are unable to completely fulfill your order we will contact you to let you know whether we might be able to source another copy of the record or whether we will have to adjust your order and payment.
Can I pick up my order at the shop?
The Customer Pickup option is provided as an alternative to having your records delivered to you by post. Instead you can come to our London shop and "pickup" your order. This option can be selected during the checkout process and of course shipping is free.
It's been ages, I think my records are lost in the post – what now?
Sometimes packages do go missing. We have to allow a certain period of time for us to be able to consider items lost.
UK – 20 working days.
Overseas – 50 working days.
While these may seem excessive, we have known items to take this long and it is only after these periods have elapsed that we can claim for compensation.
How can I pay for my order?
We accept most major credit and debit cards (Visa, Delta, Maestro, Mastercard, Solo, and British issued Electron cards). We also accept payments via Paypal.
Shipping Methods
We ship both domestically and internationally, below you can find details of the different shipment methods we offer. Now that the UK is sadly no longer part of the EU, please note that packages shipped to EU countries may have import VAT and handling fees levied at the point of delivery, which are not the responsibility of Phonica.
Please note that during busy periods such as Christmas, if there are postal strikes or extreme weather conditions, the postal system can get clogged up and delivery times may slow down.
UK (Domestic)
We offer free shipping on orders over £100 including VAT for UK orders.
Royal Mail First Class
This is our cheaper Royal Mail option that usually arrives 1 day after dispatch. Tracking unavailable for this shipment method.
Royal Mail Tracked 48
This is a trackable 2-3 day service. Please contact us if you require the tracking number for your order and we will provide you with the details.
Parcel Force
24 or 48 hour service - fully trackable. Please contact us if you require the tracking number for your order and we will provide you with the details.
We offer free shipping on orders over £100 including VAT for UK orders.
International
Airmail (Untracked)
Non-trackable but our best value service. Delivery will normally take place within 5-10 days working days. Please note that due to Brexit customs clearance can now take longer.
DHL Express
Our express service for when you need your records ASAP. Fully trackable and our quickest and most efficient method for international shipments. DHL will contact you via email/phone in order for you to pay any import duties and the order to clear customs.
