A born entertainer is what he is called. One of the most talked about artist out of Detroit in some time. His unique blend of soulful grooves, with filtered deep disco remixes, combined with in your face over powering tech house seasonings give his music a special blend that is none mistakably his own. The Detroit native, is a self taught Musician, Producer and Writer. Dwayne is no new comer to Detroit's electronic music scene. He has been a DJ, and Producer of funky house, and early techno since it's inception. Dwayne started off as a Jazz drummer & percussionist. He was heavily influenced by the Funky, Progressive and Electronic sound developed in Detroit, Chicago, and New York. He was truly inspired by DJ's such as; Juan Atkins, Farley, Mike Hitman Wilson, Frankie Knuckles, Steve Silk Hurley, Mr. Fingers, Louie Vega, DJ Sneak, Todd Terry, and Larry Heard. Dwayne was also deeply influenced by a DJ named Electrifying Mojo. His radio show was responsible for inspiring so many Detroit artist, and was Dwayne's introduction to electronic music. The fire was ignited for this artist, and there was no turning back! After spinning local parties and working with legendary Detroit underground promoters, he worked his way up to playing a long list of legendary clubs. The club he has the best memories of is Luomo in the late 80's. Luomo was where Dwayne really learned to fly, and developed his unique style that is still displayed to this date. A four on the floor, heavy bassed, soulful, energetic, melodic, percussion filled, hi tech, deep house sound. Dwayne next spent 2 years living in the Finsbury Park area of London, where he absorbed a wide variety of influences such as British, UK, German, French, Italian, African & Jamaican culture's; as well as the vibe around the London's underground. Dwayne study abroad, and DJed in some of London's Underground clubs in Soho. The time there opened Dwayne up to a more world sound, and helped to expand his mind, for a true full package for him as a producer, and DJ. He credits his true “DJ & music production education” to attending Eastern Michigan University, whose students also included Kevin Saunderson & Eddie Fowlkes - along with weekly visits from Juan Atkins, Derrick May, and other rising stars. “The assortment of young talent and inspiration for music was absolutely “off the charts,” exclaims Jensen, who became both friends and DJ contemporaries with them all. He continued to support, and inspire the foundation of a new musical evolution of which we now call Techno. “The thing back then was to create music that we could all play at DJ gig's on the weekend, and from that we basically started to experiment.” I think that all of these collaborative efforts definitely worked out for the best!” Dwayne and Kevin Saunderson worked together on many projects. Dwayne released an EP called Rebellious on the KMS label, and worked on many Remixes for that label.
