Altogether Lost is a collaboration between the Bristol based experimental techno duo Emptyset and the Detroit vocalist Cornelius Harris aka Atlantis from Underground Resistance. Inspired by an early 20th century poem of mystical heritage, the project marks the first ever joint production by these three major capitals of electronic music and is backed up by a very friendly and creative label partnership between Bristol/UK based Caravan Recordings and CLR from Frankfurt/Germany where both labels release different versions and remixes of the original in a mutual promotion and release approach. Caravan Recordings contributes to this series with a couple of exquisite interpretations from two stalwarts of the UK dubstep scene. First up is a fully immersive re-work from the now Berlin based SCB (Scuba’s techno alias). The head honcho of Hotflush needs no introduction and this edit feels like it’s been made for the Berghain dancefloor. – in our opinion one of his best to date under his SCB alias. Flip for a trademark interpretation from Punch Drunk label boss Peverelist. Pushing the envelope as always he works his signature groove seamlessly with disorientating textures and percussive motifs producing a track with a defined, driving intensity. Caravan is (as you might imagine) delighted to have him on board, completing the wax end of this series perfectly support from 2562, Ewan Pearson, Martyn, Reso, Mary Anne Hobbs, Derek Plaslaiko, October, Brackles, Atki2, Audiojack, Starkey, Timo Mass, Chrissy Murderbot, Bryan Kasenic, John Osborn, Sandrien, Alex Flitsch…
