UK-Producer/Dj Jordan Peak launches his Rogue Society imprint in October with his own 'S.O.O.N.' 12" featuring remixes from Detroit master Mike Huckaby and Nikola Gala. Peak, via releases for the likes of Robsoul, Tsuba and One Records has won vocal support from Paul Woolford, Dj Sneak, Gerd and many more for his timeless house workouts but Rogue Society, a venture with old friend Peter Glasspool, will see the London-Based artist expand his musical horizons. ‘S.O.O.N.' maintains the house tempos Peak has made his name with but employs distinct techno aesthetics throughout. Opening up with Basic Channel-esque, dubbed-out subtlety before ramping up into a relentless piece of sci-fi stabbing techno, 'S.O.O.N.' is a heady and fresh angle from Peak and is augmented by as similarly strong dub. Mike Huckaby's take on 'S.O.O.N.' sees him step into classic Harmonie Park territory - all cast-iron groove and bubbling, filtered atmospherics. Dominated by a looping, wet stab before opening into a percussive builder, it's a mix that sees Huckaby at his measured finest. Rounding off this debut is a remix from Greek producer, Nikola Gala. Gala has enjoyed a fair amount of hype since a standout 12" for Rekids in 2012 and his stripped, occasionally abrasive rework for 'S.O.O.N.' shouldn't harm his rep one bit. With upcoming tracks and mixes from a host of new and established talent Rogue Society is a pleasing prospect. The label is set to feature tracks and releases from the likes of Jay Tripwire, Sam Russo, Dan Curtin And Esteban Adame In it's first year.
