First release on Music From Memory's sub label Second Circle.
The music in the play “Wu Wu You” is based on a very old ghost dance. The sounds added to the music symbolize the omnipresence of spirits.
In a large circle the ghost dancers are crouched on the floor. Their arms are spread out and the grasped hands are braced on the floor, the head also touches the floor. In an as synchronous movement as possible, the dancers are slowly setting themselves upright, they let go of their hands and face with a turn to the left behind the other.
The circle is (after the prologue) set in motion from left to right, the upper body is rotated once to the left and once to the right. Then, the ghost dancers paint a big “magic circle” on the ground. Gradually all Ghost Dancers are stepping out of their formation and into the circle and dance their own Ghost Dance within the magic circle.
