Existence is Resistance is a London based limited run label founded by London bass legend, Persian, founder of Same People Productions alongside long term business and occasional production partner DJ Texta. Renowned throughout the London bass scene since 1991 for his eclectic mix of underground music, specialising in Drum & Bass, Breakbeat, UK Garage, 2 Step, Reggae and House but always with a splash of the unexpected thrown in for good measure. His production career began when he first met Bizzy B and D.J. Delux in 1990 and he soon began writing his first material on his Commodore Amiga. Many jungle releases later in 1995 and under the "Same People" moniker he made the smash hit Dangerous' which is without doubt one of the defining records of the U.K.G scene, collaborations with such legendary artists as M.C. Mello, U.K. Apache, Valerie M, and David Booma, have further confirmed his standing amongst the most highly rated artists amongst his peers. His latest offering features the much sought after underground classic "Feel Da Vibe", most recently resurrected for Four Tet's Fabric Live CD... The story began with Kieran having to track the only existing copy he could find on Discogs (as all the masters were lost, and nobody had a vinyl copy either). Fortunately after much searching and the help of a very nice guy from New York, the track was recorded to WAV and sent to Mr Tet especially for the Fabric compilation, the rest is history...
But dont forget to check out the other tracks too...there's a great 90s update of a soul vocal on the flip too....!
