LuckyMe is very proud to present Vignettes. The triumphant return of Mike Slott.

Mike Slott’s last release with LuckyMe was just over 10 years ago. The Lucky 9Teen EP was seen as one of the most seminal releases in the post-Dilla age of instrumental beat led music that took hiphop as its cue then threw out the rule book. Slott in particular brought a delicate touch and unique quiver of samples and production techniques to the table. From his Heralds of Change project with Hudson Mohawke to his split releases with Martyn 3024 and Dabrye - Slott was very much seen as part of this new beat generation sitting alongside Flying Lotus, the late Ras G and others bringing his unique blend of futurism alongside a respect and free-spirited appreciation of the jazz age. Since those early releases Mike has continuously released music including his meditative Mirror Mirror project and Lesser Pieces - his energetic vocal led collaboration with Diane Badie.

Vignettes was first realised as a performance piece at the Edinburgh International Festival in 2011 as Slott provided a live re-scoring of The Return (2003), the debut film by Russian director Andrei Zvyagintsev. Stripping the music of its original intention it becomes an incredibly gorgeous,emotive,shimmering body of work. To describe something as an imagined soundtrack seems cliched but Slott manages to create an entire world to fall into.

Welcome to Phonica Records' digital gift cards page.

This is a digital gift card or voucher that allows you to buy anything on the site*. The card or voucher comes via email to an address of your choosing, with a unique code that can only be used once.
We sell electronic gift cards in denominations of £10, £25, £50, £75, £100 or £250. You can mix and match or buy multiple vouchers to get to the amount you want to spend. However, you can redeem ONLY one gift card per one checkout transaction. Once purchased, the gift cards cannot be exchanged for a denominal constituting their added values (e.g. 2 x £25 gift cards cannot be exchanged for a single £50 gift card). You do not have to use the whole amount in one transaction though - your credit continues until all is used for the gift card.
You can personalise the gift card with your message and have it sent immediately upon completion of the order. If it's for a gift for a future date, we advise you to get the unique code sent to your own email address.
To redeem your voucher, add items to your cart on our site, proceed to the checkout stage, on the final payment screen you will be able to enter your unique gift voucher code in the box provided. All gift cards are non-refundable. There is a 3 year expiry date on all vouchers.
We also sell traditional, physical gift vouchers for use at our store at 51 Poland St, London. These can be purchased and redeemed in the store but cannot be used on the website. However, if you do want to use them on the site, or want to use digital gift cards in the store, its best to contact us at the address below and we can work something out.
