This Thursday we'll be heading to XOYO to start the weekend early alongside Detroit's Dopplereffekt, The Legendary Moritz Von Oswald and Even Tuell of Workshop records. To get everyone in the mood we've selected our favourite tracks from the line up artists. Check 'em out down below and make sure you're there on Thursday night! Tickets available through Resident Advisor -->HERE<---
1. MAURIZIO - M5 A
Simple, effective techno filtered down to it purest form - Simon Rigg
2. DOPPLEREFFEKT - Speak and Spell
I could have picked any track from their seminal 1996 "Infophysix" EP, but this one always sticks out for me. - Kenny White
3. EVEN TUELL - Mental Marathon
The Hula Vortex EP is on Musik Krause a versatile piece of wax but Mental Marathon on the A side always stood out to me! - Michael Fitzpatrick
4. JUAN ATKINS & MORITZ VON OSWALD - Mars Garden
One of the best album of 2013, such a beautiful track! - Jeanne Roboh
5. MAURIZIO - M - 4.5
dim-dum-dum dom-dum-dum & repeat... - Vangelis Bellonias
6. EVEN TUELL - Untitled [WORKSHOP04]
Early classic from Workshop lynchpin, mid-paced shuffling r&b drums ride beneath the deepest techno synth washes, offset by a minimal Berlin style bassline. - Nick Williams
7. DOPPLEREFFEKT - Dyson Sphere
There's way too much to choose from when it comes to Gerald Donald but I'll go for this lesser known gem. It sits nicely between the classic uptempo electro/techno 12"s and the far more melancholic and experimental Dopplereffekt albums. - Alex Egan.
8. RHYTHM & SOUND - Mango Drive
One of my all time favourite dub's from Maurizio & Mark Ernestus. Perfect for an after party or a lazy morning. - Michael Fitzpatrick
9. 3MB ft. MAGIC JUAN ATKINS - Die Kosmischen Kuriere
MVO teaming up with Juan Atkins to create one of my all-time favourite Detroit techno tracks!
- Kenny White
10. EVEN TUELL & MIDNIGHTOPERA - Untitled B2
A simple atmospheric melody that could just keep going and going. One of the finest 12"s put out by Workshop that quite understandibly fetches rather high prices these days. -Alex Egan

Over the weekend the one and only Busy P of Ed Banger Records stopped in at Phonica to get a fresh stack of wax before his NTS show. To our surprise he opened up his set with the first release from Alex Egan's new label Utter! The record will be officially released next Friday on the 20th of November and were taking pre-orders now.
Utter's first release is a special reissue of Daniel Swan’s dystopian sci-fi short film 'Lux Laze' alongside its remastered original soundtrack by Jack Latham (Jam City).
Now long out of print, 'Lux Laze' was initially self-released by Swan and Latham in 2010 as a limited edition VHS, comic and DVD-R bundle, with its soundtrack simultaneously issued on a run of just 50 cassette tapes.
Utter's deluxe reissue package features the soundtrack on 10" vinyl alongside an exclusive download link for the 'Lux Laze' film, soundtrack and extras stamped on the record's inner sleeve. A large 75x50cm poster - also designed by Swan - is housed within the full colour outer sleeve. This release is hand numbered and limited to 300 copies.
