British electronic music composer and producer Luke Vibert delivers the latest instalment of the Phonica Mix Series.
Widely known for his diverse output spanning multiple genres simultaneously, the Cornwall-born artist has been steadily releasing music since the mid 90s under different monikers, most notably as Wagon Christ, Kerrier District, Amen Andrews or Plug.
Luke's genre-agnostic body of work has found home in labels such as Mo Wax, Warp, Rephlex, Planet Mu, Lo Recordings, Ninja Tune and more recently also I Love Acid and Hypercolour. His last album, ‘Bizarster', came out on Planet Mu last year under his given name. As some sort of collage, all of his many sounds could be found in there. We can't wait to hear what the international man of mystery has in the pipeline for 2017.

Tonight Curzon Soho will screen “Do you own the Dancefloor?", a film documenting the last days of Manchester's legendary club The Haçienda and the events that followed its abrupt closure due to the city's gentrification.
In November 2000, many of the key elements from the iconic venue ended up as 69 lots at a charity auction before it was demolished to make way for a block of apartments. Throughout this documentary, we follow the journey these auctioned items take and catch a glimpse into their new homes, who brought them, and why?
The documentary isn’t just about the Hac?ienda. It’s also about the community that was built around Manchester's iconic venue.
A large amount of people were influenced by their times there, so much that they had to come to Manchester to bid for bricks, toilets, exit signs and even pieces of the hallowed dance floor. Interviews from Hacienda experts; DJs Graeme Park and Mike Pickering, Liam Gallagher of Oasis and Peter Hook of Joy Division/New Order to sharing their memories are included throughout the documentary. Don’t miss out on this chance to see a rare film documenting a historic event in club culture history!

For this week's premiere, Barcelona's finest Hivern Discs presents a spooky jam by Romaina duo Khidja.
After a string of successful releases on revered imprints such as [Emotional] Especial, Love On The Rocks or Bahnsteig 23, the Bucharest-based duo debuts on the spanish powerhouse with one of their boldest productions to date.
Our pick for the premiere is the closing track 'Kraftfeld', another of Khidja's unmistakable psyched-up productions, leaded by a motorik bass line and topped with frisky synths, fx experimentation and torrid vocals. With early support from the likes of Lena Willikens, who included it on her recent Solid Steel Mix, surely this outlandish jam will become another sought after dancefloor tool.

As some of you already know, it is with heavy hearts we wave au revoire to our beloved Jeanne, who is moving on to greener pastures on the other side of the world. Despite her French background, for the past three years Jeanne has been rocking the web orders with German precision, while also finding time to bake the best lemon cake ever made.
For this very special edition of the Staff Pick Of The Week, we asked Jeanne to pick the records that soundtracked her time at Phonica. Let's have one last dance with her!
Sooooo... 3 years already! Times flies! This is a little selection of songs I've discovered here, songs I like to play in the morning, when I'm alone in the shop and getting my orders ready. It won't be easy to pin it down to just a few songs... Some of these are for grumpy mornings (there has been a few!), some for happy mornings, others for when you really really have to wake up... These picks are some of my favorite and simply represent the different moods and feeling of the past few years.

One of the happiest song on earth! Every time I feel a bit low in the morning I just play it really loud, sing along, and you know everything will be alright.
